Changes to Your Student Health Insurance Coverage
Exciting updates have been made to the University of Missouri, Kansas City student health insurance plan. These changes will affect your health coverage, so be sure to review the details and stay informed.
The carrier for the 2025-2026 University of Missouri, Kansas City student health insurance plan is now underwritten by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company. The new UnitedHealthcare plan offers comprehensive coverage, competitive pricing and a robust provider network, so you can get the care you need, when you need it.

- HealthiestYou, General Medical: 24/7 access to doctors who can diagnose and prescribe treatment by phone or video
- HealthiestYou, Mental Health Care: speak with psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists when and where you're comfortable

Create Your My Account
Once you've enrolled in the new student health insurance plan, register your My Account to download your ID card, view benefits, review claims and more.

Domestic Students
The University of Missouri has partnered with United Healthcare Student Resources to provide health insurance plans, including voluntary full-coverage dental and vision plans. Domestic students can elect to enroll in the plan directly with United Healthcare or with any insurance plan of their choice.
International Students
International students without a waiver will be automatically enrolled in the United Healthcare Student Resources Health Insurance Plan, and the cost will be billed to your student account. All dependents must be enrolled separately with United Healthcare Student Resources.
